CoolMOS™ C7 is optimized for hard switching topologies such as Power Factor Correction (CCM PFC), Two Transistor Forward (TTF) and Solar Boost in applications such as Solar, Server, Telecom and UPS, providing the world's lowest RDS(on) of 19mΩ in a TO-247 and 45mΩ in a TO-220 package. It is the successor to the CoolMOS™ CP series with 30% lower switching losses and 100% higher robustness!

The 650V breakdown voltage makes it the perfect choice for SMPS PFC stages where extra safety margin is required. The fast switching performance of C7 now enables to operate at switching frequencies greater than 100kHz whilst achieving titanium levels of efficiency in Server PFC stages. This opens new ways to achieve higher power density by reducing the space requirements.

Additionally, the new TO-247-4 pin package enables significant efficiency improvements in hard switching topologies for CoolMOS™ high voltage Power MOSFETs
